I am a hand-spinner, weaver, and fiber artist specializing in woven rugs. My interest in weaving began as an architecture student at Iowa State University when I designed a weaving studio as a project for a design class. I then took weaving classes at ISU to learn the basics and have expanded my knowledge through self study. I enjoy the entire process, starting with raising the animals that produce the raw fibers, cleaning, carding, spinning, dyeing and eventually weaving or knitting a finished product. I also love experimenting with color combinations and working with people to design a piece that fits into their home or office space.
