I'm still working on variations on a theme of bright, sunny colors. This one is yellows and oranges with deep purple accents.

Cheeto and I finished setting up the loom and worked the last couple days on sunrise/sunset color rugs. Here are the photos.
My shop helper, Cheeto, is trying to figure out how to tie knots. This is my process for starting a new rug. I leave the previous warp threads on the loom, wind a new warp onto the beam, then tie it onto the previous one before pulling it through the heddles and reed. It takes anywhere from 3 - 6 hours to get the new warp on the loom. Maybe longer with Cheeto's help! Though the days are beginning to lengthen, it is still that time of year when I need to do something to brighten my days. This week's efforts has been to set up the loom with some "beach colors". Teal, aqua, jade and sage with some sunny yellow accents is the color combo I've selected.
